Metal Material, Custom n,k values, Lux Pop / Sopra files

Post by JaAlVir657 »

Hello,

I just noticed that there's a restriction on the input of n and k values in the Fresnel node for the "Custom n,k values" type.

From my research, a solution had already been implemented: Metal Material p4/p33839.

Unfortunately, the limitation to the values "Color"[0,1] is present again  ! (BlendLuxCore 2.10.2 -> 2.7 Beta2)

Is there any possibility/chance of fixing this ?

Thank's

PS, does anyone have any information on the "Lux Pop" and "Sopra" files ?

Cheers

Hi,

I already re-implemented this back in June, but decided too include this only in the branch for version 2.11 (I believe because 2.10 was a compatibility release and not intended to include feature changes).
See this discussion on GitHub:
https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/BlendL ... ssues/1011

About the files, I'd have to dig again to remind myself, I think it was a relatively straightforward format.

Hello,

Ah yes, OK, I understand ... Is there a planned release date for v2.11 ?

Thank you :) .

Not final, but we were discussing an alpha release in December.
