Hi Farbige Welt, first i want to thank you for all the tests you did, very interesting.
What i need to do now is to fully isolate the trouble making situations which takes a lot of time. My problem is not only noise related but more about the fact that, under certain circumstances, the same scene rendered twice with only a very subtle camera position variation (1mm), delivers renderings with a very different light distribution and that even at high sampling rates.
One of the factors which cause metropolis go crazy, i discovered, are low angle EIS photometry spots applied to very simple geometry, even squares. I hope to have time in the next days to finally isolate one of the issues in a very simple scene so that you all can replicate and may this helps us to fix luxcore's code.
Thanks again
