You need the latest daily build of LuxCore as well.
stable addon + stable luxcore binaries = works.
daily addon + daily luxcore binaries = works.
daily addon + stable luxcore binaries = does not work.
Maybe daily builds are a mistake. I liked the time where we published a release every 2-4 weeks and then people tested it. Now every few days we have to babysit someone.

I just tested latest daily and oidn (on win10) and it works just fine...

The person who advised me to use the daily assembly says that you have to babysit those who use it. This is strange.
Anyway, do I download it? This information is spread all over the forum, is there a place where I can easily download the same working version of the denoiser as the working version of the render?

I just got it from daily builds page...
Here, I rewrote my "guide" (3rd post) here:

Try to follow those steps and in that thread, let me know if it works.

It is not surprising that what I was doing before did not work. It was completely incomprehensible and unintuitive.
