Rendering Issue with BlendLuxCore on Fedora: Only HDRI Visible or dissolved geometry
Posted: Thu May 16, 2024 8:36 am
Hello,
I posted the following error on the GitHub issue tracker, but I'm posting it here as well to see if anyone else is experiencing this problem and if someone can help me.
My system is as follows:
OS: Linux Fedora 39 and 40 (using GNOME Xorg, not Wayland)
Blender version: 4.0.2 and 3.6.10
BlendLuxCore version: BlendLuxCore 2.8 alpha1 and BlendLuxCore v2.7 beta1
Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB using the proprietary driver from RPMFusion
I'm encountering the following error:
There are no error messages. The render starts normally but only shows the background HDRI. I have reinstalled CUDA multiple times. I have also tried different scenes from the forum and samples, as well as different combinations of Blender versions and BlendLuxCore versions, but the same behavior persists. When using CPU rendering, only the HDRI appears, while rendering with GPU shows the geometry, but with an opacity of approximately 50%. Please refer to the attached images for reference.
The only setup that works is Blender 2.93 with BlendLuxCore 2.6. With this combination, everything works well—no hidden or dissolved geometry. Also works if I export scene to luxcore standalone, from any blender and Blendluxcore.
Thanks
