Loading causes Luxrender to crash .lxs

I downloaded luxrender and used FreeCAD, however every time I try to open a file, it displays for a little moment before disappearing. The same issue persists even when I open Luxrender by connecting it to FreeCAD; it opens and then immediately closes. Am I performing incorrectly? I appreciate your advice.
