Hey everyone, making this here because I wasn't sure where to put it.

I'm looking to get a new PC, was going to get the 5950x, but now with the advent of the 12900k, and it being cheaper for great performance, bit stuck with the choice. GPU wise I only have an old 1050ti so will be CPU dependent rendering.

Anybody have any experience with the new 12900k and luxcore? I haven't been able to find any benchmarks yet online.

If anyone has any advise, I would be grateful!

Just had a look at AnandTech bench, and I would recommend the 12900k if you get it with a DDR5 platform.

The PovRay and Cinebench (rendering) results point to both a single and multi thread advantage to the 12900k, and are pretty much translatable to LuxCore CPU speed as well. The extra single thread performance will help in other areas as well.

By the way that is a bit strange that corona and Vray
