Drum crush animation

Hi all
This is my first post, apologies if I have not followed protocol.
Here's an animation of an oil drum being crushed.

I have used LuxCoreRender occasionally before and am very keen on it. I take this opportunity to say big thanks to the developers for an amazing job!
The caustics were added retrospectively, using light tracing only with laser light. I found it useful in helping appreciate the complex metal folding from a single fixed camera position. The phone and coffee cup are the start of a scene I was thinking of doing, but for now are just random context.
Although I am not new to rendering I still have a lot to learn so any and all advice is very welcome. I did not need SDS for this animation but in principle I would be very interested to know if others have had success with SDS in animations.
