mporting ply files from old Luxrender scenes

HI, before posting I looked in the forum is the question was already asked.

I have lost the original scene, which I used with Luxrender on 3ds max. What is left are the exported scene files to Luxrender, with all the ply files.
Now to the question, does anyone knows a way to import the scene in blender at least, withut to get all geometries placed at the origin, as to have them exactly where they should be?

Thank you

EDITED: I know that the ply file contains just the geometry, the related position of that ply file should be in the *.scn :?:
I there a import script which imports ply from scn? or is there a work around..

The image should explain what I mean expectation vs reality

Is it in .lxs format or .scn ?

With luxcoreui, you can (try to) load the .lxs file and than export in .scn format but it doesn't help to get back the scene in Blender.
