recently i had finally got my second rig to work (i7 2600 + 8gb ddr3 + asus P8P67-M + HD 7970 on fresh W10 64 bits). i run blender 2.79b + luxcore 2.0 rc1.
I got total crash with blackscreen but only in viewport. here is blend file :

It is working fine here. If you get an OS crash, it is an hardware and/or driver problem: an application can not, even intentionally, crash an OS.
