Issue with normals

Hi all,
i'm confused why i'm experiencing shading issues.
my models look alright on viewport but when rendered, they have what i can only call "glitchy" parts.
i have read sometime ago that we do not support custom split normals yet (i never used those ever anyway).
what i have instead is utilization of "auto smooth" and the weighted normal modifier.
deactivating auto smooth and weighted normal modifier makes the mesh look worse both on viewport and on render. If you look close enough, this issue can also be seen with the tiny screws all around the model.
do we support auto smooth and normal modifiers? is that where the problem is?
if we do support them, what do you think i'm doing wrong?
thanks for all your answers
