perfect reflection

Hi all,
i've been trying to achieve a render setup where only the main object has its image reflected off the ground and not the lights.
something like the images below are what i am aiming for.
assigning a mirror/metal/glossy material on the ground works for the reflection of the main object but my lights are also visible on said ground.
i know this can be faked in post with GIMP and such, but i was just wondering if there is a way to pull this off with LuxCore.
i appreciate all your tips, thanks!

You could try to use a mirror plane with 50% transparency, HDR infinite light and the option to render black background (instead of seeing the HDR image). It should do the trick.

Hello Dade,
Just thought i would share what i came up with using your suggestions.
My render is obviously inspired by Sharlybg's Lux & Love
Combined
The attachment loopy.png is no longer available
Denoised (OIDN)
My setup is background lit by HDR for the reflections.
I surrounded the mirror floor with a mesh that has a pure black matte material to make the floor look perfectly black.
The mirror floor's HSV value is only 0.1.
Oh, and a particle system was used for the tiny diamonds on the floor.
Here is the how the scene looks:
Took around 12 hours to render around 30k samples on Hybrid OpenCL (not using any cache) but i think it is worth it.
Thanks for continuing to bring Lux to everyone!

Can I put this into our gallery?
If yes, which name should I use for the author, and do you want me to link to your website/portfolio?

I have put it in the "product visualization" section.

By the way, I forgot to ask for a title for the image - do you have one in mind?

It's a very nice render indeed.

Hey, that made my day!
I originally went with "loopy" but that sounds weird to me now.
Let's just go with "Rose Gold Twist Rings".
