please show me how the scene with caustics is set up? I am interested in how you positioned the light and the object that makes the caustics

sure thing. You wont see the caustics until the final render. its pretty easy to set up. make sure you use an hdri with a hard shadow. the caustic emitter is just a plane with a noise (blender cloud texture) displacement on it and a solidify modifier.
