AndreasResch, thanks for the support.
Yes, really I do not have any negative to developers.
I use Luxcore from time 1.6. Actively with 2.0
My work is in the Luxcore Gallery. I constantly follow the development of the project, sometimes I put small amounts of money. I love Luxcore. Thanks and delighted with the work of Dade and Byob.

But this does not change the situation. I have to use Cycles when I perform a commercial project.
Cryptomate, Bevell-Shader and viewport is fast as in Cycles - here are the options that do not allow me to include Luxcore for such projects:
https://blenderaartists.org/t/skin-blem ... er/1288940.
I think many remember how I did this device. How I knew the opportunity to make this project in Luxcore to the last drop. I even had a 3scloud farm for a month and tested to work with Luxcore.
The old, old bug - in the viewport and on the render different brightness. How many times the problem was solved, but she constantly pops up.
Even now, here these lamps I rewar in Cycles: https://forums.luxcorender.org/viewtopi ... 2&start=30
I'm upset, because to work with Luxcore bought a computer on AMD. But it turned out that even modern equipment is not able to overcome the barrier of slow viewport.
In a rather wide circle of Blender users, I know me as the most important Luxcore fan. But I will not tell any words to developers. I have no right. No. This project is completely completely. I am only infinitely grateful that in my portfolio there are wonderful works based on their altruistic labor.

I think if the viewport is still slow - it means it cannot be done quickly.
I think if the Bevell-Shader is missing, it means it cannot be done.
I think if Cryptomate is available only in this form as it is now - it means to make it a full impossible.

I will continue to follow Luxcore. This is the best render.

You can render the Cryptomattes in a separate pass using Eevee fairly quickly. Have you tried that?

In commercial projects, I do a lot of renders. We are talking about several dozen coordinated, final renders per day, and hundreds, thousands a week of test, tuning, rejected, for statements, and so on.
No time to administer this method of solution. Now if this BYOB trick embeds in Luxcore - this will be a solution. But...

Not a lot to "administer". But with all your other hurdles, probably one too much.

Not really now because I have already written the code to run NVRTC at this point.

it would be cool to add light tracing support on GPU too so it'll be faster
