That's amazing to see luxcore can do that. Any update on when can it be available for everyone?

MaxToLux v0.9.1417-beta

This is a beta release of MaxToLux, a LuxCore plugin for Autodesk® 3ds Max® 2019, 2020, 2021, And 3ds Max 2022

The first time you use the GPU render plugin will try to Compile the Kernels and it can take up to 5 minutes based on the PC configuration, it's not a crash nor a bug.

This release was built against LuxCore 2.61 release
Render by Omid Ghotbi (TAO) in Luxcore using MaxToLux plugin, Model by 3dscanstore.

Plugin Download link available for 3dsmax 2019-2020-2021 and 2022 in a single installer package

Try to not using any intel base GPU for OpenCL render engines they are pretty slow and laggy.

Change MaxToLux in the select renderer list to LuxCore to avoid confusion.

Features and Fixed Bugs

Rewrite the mesh functions entirely
Support multiple materials
Add support for material Ids
Fix the crash of empty material Ids
Support all material IDs as long as it's not at the end of the material Ids list.
The translation is much faster and more convenient.

Just to mention I've done this a long time ago but did not have enough time to clean up the code and rewrite it until now. More new features will be published soon, also interactive render is working like a charm and should be released soon.


Add support v0.9.1.417.

Knowing issues
Mix material does not work as it is supposed to.
Disney material is missing.
Material type not shown in Compact material editor.
Updating map does not show instantly in material slots
Memory leaks when a scene renders with too many passes which can cause a crash.
Lux Cameras Missing
Render element and layer missing is not complete
Lux Light incorrect bounding box
post-render effect like Bloom does not support yet (interface only)
image sampler Michell does not work properly
