I have no idea why this is happening, because the Blender AddOn uses the same binaries, I used before form the terminal. Really strange.
Are you on Windows or Linux ? You may have multiple pyluxcoretools.exe/pyluxcoretools.zip: the fix is not in LuxCore (pyluxcore.pyd) but in pyluxcoretools python code.
