Call for Example Scenes
Posted: Wed Mar 13, 2019 9:58 pm
We are always looking for example scenes to showcase the features of LuxCoreRender.
An example scene can be complex or simple, it can show off a wide range of features or just a single one - or it can just produce a visually pleasing image.
Some ideas:
- Present a shader feature, for example: volumetric absorption, SSS, smoke/fire, PBR material setup
- Compare engines in a scene: make a scene that can only be rendered with Bidir, so new users see where it might be useful
- Beautiful caustic patterns are always a good idea
- Show how to use special features: shadow catcher, irradiance AOV, IES lights, volume priority (glass with fluid situation)
If you have a scene that fits our criteria, please contact me
Your scene will be available from our download page as well as our github repository, and it will be used by countless artists exploring the possibilities of LuxCore.
Note that you will have to release your scene under the Apache License 2.0 or a compatible license for it to be included in our example scene repository. All textures and other assets in the scene have to be freely distributable, for example under a CC license. You can find some sites offering assets under permissive licenses in our wiki.
