There is a gap in the Laser Beam rendering with BiDir, Metropolis.

It is not a new thing. I've also opened a GitHub Issue about it years ago:
https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/LuxCore/issues/216

I'm not sure what Dade referred to in there regarding this being fixed (no commits or anything were linked).

I'm aware of it, I would reopen that Issue if I can describe it a little better.
