bidir vs Photon GI (CPU)

Some tests which do not make me wiser.
All glass surfaces have white shadow.

In the second example I wonder why Pgi loose so much brightness compare to Bidir.
Different clamping Value ?

interestingly in the second photon gi example the left wall is darker while the right /glass/chrome wall is brighter
