Hi do you experience the same problem with shadow color?

bidir cpu - normal shadow color
this one is as expected by knowing the caustics-through glass problem
glass normal shadow.png

bidir cpu - white shadow color
should not cast shadow on the red object
glass white shadow.png

PhotonGI on CPU glass normal shadow color
this one is as expected by knowing the caustics-through glass problem

PhotonGI on CPU glass normal shadow color
It increases the brightness of the area below the glass which is not expected.

Hi sharlybg, it is full white in the second and in the fourth example. In the first and the third it is black.

Have you checked your geometry? Your issues stem from that mess.

A small advice.
Consistency. If you want your simulation to run as intended & physically correct, do your work in same manner - precise & concise , according to as IRL, or simply choose more forgiving, biased engine. ;)

Hi kintux,
sorry i do not understand... what is wrong with this geometry? It's a very simple scene.
Below you find the obj.

It's simple alright, and it's also reason why I'm shocked.
So, see what are " Overlapping polygons, Intersecting geometry, Walls w/o Thickness...

For further endeavors try and go by Forum rules described on top.

PS
"Testscene" in Blender format. Otherwise, who knows what's going on and it looks like even yourself have issues with basic fundamentals.

PPS.
Goes for your first scene and this latest .obj.
