I'm having the strangest problem. I was working away modifying some textures in a scene and all the sudden one of my walls isn't blocking light anymore. The scene is supposed to be lit just through a door but now a whole portion of the wall is transmitting light. I keep going back and making sure that I don't have any holes in the meshes or anything. It seems good on that front. I really feel like I'm losing it. Help!
The earlier scene without the blue ceiling shows the light setup as it's supposed to be. The second with the strong diagonal across the front columns is wrong.

Re: Walls transmitting light?
Looks like you're using volume materials. This happens when those are set incorrectly (interior, exterior, priorities, camera, world...).
For example you can check a scene posted here: "Trying to make fog effect"

Re: Walls transmitting light?
Turns out it was indeed a material opacity issue. Thank you for taking the time to suggest that
