Network rendering with LuxCore Standalone

Post by S-DRE »

Hi guys, I wanted to know if it is possible or if anyone here has tried to render in multiple machines in a server (not a local network) with LuxCore Standalone. I see a Network part in the GUI and so it seems that is ready to go, but it would be nice if it can be done from command line since it would allow to automatize the process.

I'm fairly new to LuxCore so maybe this is kinda obvious and I am missing something but I haven't found anything about this.

Thanks!

Yes, it is possible: as a test I have used Amazon AWS as computing nodes and my local PC as console. You have just to set the IP addresses/ports of remote nodes by hand (the auto-discovery of nodes can work only on local network nodes). Also everything is available as command line options. However it is quite complicate to setup and run.

I'll check the user manual for more info in those commands, or the various documentation documents. Thanks for the help!
