LuxCoreRender Wallpaper

Post by B.Y.O.B. »

Updated version of my wallpaper.
Rendertime about 10 hours this time (~10000 samples), but it was still not enough to get rid of the last bits of noise, so I applied denoising in Photoshop in some places.

I attached the .blend scene and an exported FILESAVER scene (scn/cfg for luxcoreui) in case you want to play around with it.
Note that given the current alpha state of the new Blender addon, this scene will probably not work with future versions of BlendLuxCore.

edit: I have removed the old scene because it was outdated. You can find a more recent download here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=23#p3691

Not sure if it's already good enough, I feel some bright areas are overblown and I'm not super happy with the grid, too.
But I added it under the abstract section. If I improve it later, I can always replace it after all.

Soon, I'm going to burn the Frankfurt AWS data center to the ground with this scene
Than, I can send you the .flm for post-processing.

Looking forward to it
Maybe increase the resolution to 3840x2160 (4K UHDTV), I think many people today have higher resolution screens.

This psor scene is very nice. I just wonder how it will look with a more balanced light color. A more neutral tone less blueish will be nice too. Well done

Since the scene in the first post is really outdated (back then BlendLuxCore did not even have tonemapping  ) I took the time to update it.
In the zip: .blend, .bcf and an example render.
I only rendered for 3 hours this time and applied no postpro at all.
Maybe someone with a more powerful machine can make a more noise-free render so we can put the bundle to the example scenes?
And if someone comes up with better lighting, colors or something else, feel free to post it.

My desktop CPU is a Phenom II 1055t, and my notebook CPU has about the same performance.
