Beach scene

Post by SquidOctopus »

Hi LuxCore friends!

I’m currently working on an extensive collection of 100 grasses and I would like to share a showcase rendered using LuxCore:
The attachment 008Denoised.png is no longer available
This is the model used in the showcase:

Thank you for sharing!
And, here's my thought: "Nice, but could be better. For example... "

@Luximage : Thank you! I will :D

@kintuX : Sure! Thank you for your idea on improving it! I really like the vivid colors and the increased contrast. I will keep that in mind for the next showcase. :D

Nice models!
I like the plants and ground in kintuX' edit, but the sky is too saturated/contrasty there in my opinion.

Thank you for your kind replies! They are really helpful to me. The modelling is based upon real world references and a biology book which focuses on grasses. I will post more showcases from other grases soon ;)

Nothing to say except if you tweaked it in Photoshop there's a very simple way to get that sky banding gone: if you still have it in Layers: convert to 16bits, flat the document and convert back to 8bits.

Ideally you should start with 16bits/channel but even changing from 8 to 16bits before flatting image can have a HUGE difference in keeping gradients free of banding, just due to the fact Photoshop mechanincs being "smoother".
