Brazilian Liquor

Post by JulianoLisboa »

Illustration work done at Luxcore, for me every day is a different learning experience, but I'm happy with the result. Criticisms and suggestions are welcome.

Vola, nicely done, I enjoy the look. just there is a little bit too much glossiness on the wood, I think with less glossy it will be much realistic.

excellent work but needs some work.
yes, the gloss is controversial. and somewhere it looks good, but for the most part it needs to be muted.
I recommend finalizing the image in a photo editor, and manually reducing the gloss in some places.
I also propose to manually add in this place the feeling of contact between the glass and the barrel:

Nice looking project it is also interesting that you have been able to render at a good resolution too.it certainly well done in general.
Few advice i will give even if your work is already good (just in case you want more ):

1_ liquid and container must overlap and have different priority value (container highe priority compare to liquid ) otherwise you end up with liquid floating inside the glass.

2_I also think that glass quality should go up as the render is mostly about that (Specular value between 24 and 64 can reveal some nice internal reflection)

3_ The render need more samples to avoid to much blur. (work at lower resolution and do your absolute result in higher format)

4_ Good thing can be to use nice reference for lighting and and glass quality as well as caustics.

What is the difference between the volume created in the luxcore material nodes and the volume created in the luxcore volume nodes?

A lot better. ;)

Can I see the shader node of both the glass cup and bottles ?
Can you also check normal orientation on the glass cup ?
Do you have shadow color applied at maximum white value on the glass cup ?
