I'll try, but if it's ray-trayced then it's useless. It's better to pass textures to eevee.marcatore wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 8:04 am You should try it.
Take a blender daily build, take a daily BlendLuxCore build and try it.
At the moment it's the only way to preview textures without passing by Cycles or EEVEE .
And if you have any requests about this, make a question to B.Y.O.B that is developing the Blender addon.

Someone you never really know is doing a job you can't do or even dream to do. A job you can hardly pay him for. And you answer so gracefully so gratefully.
I don't even recognize you.
Also even if it better to have a rasterized version BYOB isn't responssible for the blender unfair API game against external addon.
Re: Texture view in Blender viewport
Note, I don't think feedback has to be nice. But it has to be specific. What I'm missing here is a "Useless crap, because ..." part.
Re: Texture view in Blender viewport
I didn't talked about your person, or B.Y.O.B.'s or anyone's on this forum, did I? Why do you talk about mine?Sharlybg wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 10:00 amTried that "LookDev". Useless crap.

is doing a job you can't do
I need a proof on this statement. Do you have it?

Re: Texture view in Blender viewport
That's the first part of feedback: because it's useless.
If you're interested in more-than-two-words feedback, that is:
Also it's called "material preview" mode, it is actually used as texture view mode, so you can adjust UV maps and such.\
Like this: https://youtu.be/t_c58ryJ-Sw?t=17. Raytraycing is useless here. It should be just projected texture. If there's no way to do it without eevee, then it should be done with eevee. It's part of Blender, so it's ok.

In fact I think I'm being very nice here. I'm talking about what in my opinion would benefit luxcore. If I wasn't positive towards luxcore I'd just dropped it.

Pretty very good news i think. So you know what you have to do right now. My point didn't change you don't need that crap kind of sentence to tell your point about anything.is doing a job you can't do

You can tell your view and stay nice to others that is it . it is simple and i'm sure you understand.
