That's because you have no halt condition - I assume you are hitting Esc to stop the render? If the render finishes on its own (with a halt condition) it will run the compositor automatically.epilectrolytics wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2019 9:24 am (Somehow this does not automatically update after a new render, I always have to manipulate a node in order to get a screen refresh showing the intended result.)

Tnx a lot! When in LuxCore the denoiser is activated, the render layers node in the compositor shows a "DENOISED" output, which you can mix with the image output (shows the undenoised render).

I was expecting something much more complex.
Re: Simple Test Scene
Looks amazing, can you share the blend file?

Re: Simple Test Scene
With the kind of hardware you have it look like it is way too slow from my POV. like you're not using Gi caching and good Clamping value. the scene seem to be very simple. With 2 Rtx 2080 and AMD ryzen 2950X... Yes.
Want to see the entire project with opening setting and lighting setup. i usually do 5 min render 1.5k resolution with i7 8700k.
Re: Simple Test Scene
1 minute and 58 sec at 1920 x 1080 is too slow?
Re: Simple Test Scene
i mean this.
PetrT,in the last scene I used 5000 samples... 9minute for the render.
Re: Simple Test Scene
Also with mix node I've too many noise and lost some details..
5000 samples , 7 minutes.
5000 samples , 7 minutes.
Re: Simple Test Scene
So you don't have any caches on ?
Re: Simple Test Scene
You may find that OIDN doesn't like small repeated patterns such as in the fabric weave and BCD works better for this. BCD takes a bit longer. But with OIDN, 1000s of samples may not make any difference in this situation. For me it is still difficult to manage the Denoise, which makes me lose all the details.
2500 samples, and this is the comparison.
