Almost as if cache is always clamped or not affected by clamping or whatever

debug view:

pathtracing no clamping:

pathtracing + cache unclamped:
crop_PTpluscache.jpg
EDIT: flat color seem to work ok... Probably just a hdri issue?

Gonna try sun and sky...

Sky only works ok too

This is the no pgi image of your first post:

and this of your second:

Back to something useful: is the problem light source related ? For instance, I can not replicate the problem with a point light.

Yes I changed to unclamped to see if it fixes things, it didn't

But also yes, it is only happening with hdri

here's sun and sky (also tested flat color and sky only...)

pathtracing:
sunsky_PTonly.jpg
pathtracing + cache:
sunsky_PTcache.jpg

So cache works very well now, until you use hdri, seems cache doesn't sample hdri properly.

It was a problem in PDF of image map importance sampling when emitting particles.

How do I know I have actually the newest build...
I'm asking cause azure shows linux version build already and I downloaded it and I see no difference in rendering.
Is it possible that even though azure shows upload succeeded that I still have to wait a while?
