The tone mapper doesn't seem to effect the final image so realistic lights in light groups are not really possible?
Or am I doing something wrong?

What kind of tone mapper are you using ? You may be confused by using one like auto-linear

What do you mean with "realistic lights" ? You need to elaborate further, may be with the help of some example image.

No, the camera settings one.
And "realistic" as in gain 1 for Sun while other lights have realistic lumen power.

Basically, with light groups, turning down the Sun there's then no way to change the exposure if not with Blender built in which is messy and creates noise.
Also, increasing the power of electric lights in post using light groups make them noisy even in the denoised image output.

Changing the "camera settings" tonemapper works while rendering, but once it's done it won't change the pic anymore... At least I couldn't get it to update.
