Way to upgrade quality of picture

Post by PetrT »

Hi
Is it way to upgrade quality of rendered picture?
May be calculation of 9 subpixels and after this average result to one pixel
I mean that now to get decent result in Luxcore, use to render 4k and downscale to 2k maybe it can be handled on pixels level
In case 4k and 2k to get one pixel of image it needs to render 4 pixels
Sorry if i says something inappropriate

This is the most effective way if you use the Denoiser: provide to the denoiser a greater-than-final-resolution can help it a lot to maintain details.

Otherwise, without the denoiser, rendering at higher resolutions, to than down scale, should have no benefit (when compared to render more samples/pixel) and require only more memory.

What exactly do you mean with "quality", can you show example pictures?

I have the feeling you might be taking about sharpness? Have you tried to use the "None" pixel filter, or use a smaller filter size?

yes i do and i mean sharpness or crispness of image
But denoiser eats too much details
Thats why denoised 4k render is downscaled to 2k for example
