I'm trying to add a camera and environment fog so lasers and volumetric lights can be rendered in a visible way.

I'll go to release the new build tomorrow or the day after.

That's amazing how far the development goes, despite with the previews version of maxluxcore it will take almost forever to see a notice progress.
Since the last version we started to use the luxcore and my colleges are amazed by the speed, color and everything about luxcore. We seriously thinking of moving to luxcore for next jobs.
we are really hope in next version be able to use cache file and better animation support in plugin.

It's really flattering to hear that, and I hope you enjoy it. I'll try my best to catch up and add the requested cache features as soon as possible.
On the other hand, the greatness of LuxCore all comes from all the amazing developers behind the project.

just to add a test to this. all broken and static codes are replaced, so, most materials can be used in the finest way.

Fog can be supported through volumetric maps, now.
Here is the laser sample scene that shows the result.
