May I ask to whom is on max 2022 to try to rebuild the LuxTeapot using the Retopology tools? thanks
Retopology is just a plugin you can install it with 3dsmax 2020, 2021, and 2022. it is available on the Autodesk website and many other places.
I can also give it a shot but in my experience with this type of object, it will not be that good, because it works best when the object normal is perfectly in place and with bodyobjects it's not always the case.

Check this one and see if this is what you want.
Almost half the size of the original file, of course, maps are optimized too.

Thank you for your effort.
This pic is the render of the teapot you posted.

I think that the body object option is still the best option.
Reflection and smoothness of the surface are almost perfect in the body object version, when geometry is set to fine as shown.
Of course it is a bit bigger in size, but it renders fast anyway.

Hi there. I just got back on the LuxTrain after 10 years and wanted to try it out so I installed max 22 but the problem is that I cannot get it to render anything in OPENCL mode. CPU modes work, GPU doesn't ( i have rtx2070). Am I missing something? Thanks

Welcome, If you look at the first line of the release note I explained that. The first time you use the GPU render plugin will try to Compile the Kernels and it can take up to 5 minutes base on the PC configuration, it's not a crash nor a bug.
So when you choose GPU as a renderer just for the first time you should be a little bit patient, luxcore will build the kernels and after that, you do not need to wait for anything.
If you have any problem again let me know.

Great. That's exactly what was missing for glass and caustic right? that's why i did not get the good result with caustics!
