Nice, you get it now. Of course, for better control later you can add "Lux scale map" either.
By the way, can you confirm, the material editor does not crash anymore or the problem still persist?

yes it keeps crashing max when I open the compact material editor, but it doesn't happen with all the scenes and I know the workaround.

Do you have a special material on the scene or for example an old version of null material?
It should not crash at all.

Can you send me a scene so i see what i missed?
And remember, do not save scenes with filesaver enabled, i will fix that very soon.

I can pack the scene, it's the luxball scene. There is no null material.
The issue happens with compact material editor. You may try yourself first: open a scene, instead of slate open the compact mat editor, it might crash max.

Btw, I ask you to send me the sponza scene, I still didn't receive. I need to understand how you did manage such soft bump. I've been not able to replicate it

Check your personal messages.
I cant see the problem, it's not crashing for me at all.

@TAO I tested it
compact mat editors scene now opens without problems
btw, the sample slots seams to render faster also, meant are all slots including those which had all textures linked properly.

very nice. In the old-time, this was a huge improvement for renderers. As i can remember splatterfish was great on light and render.
If i remember correctly Brazil renderer was the name of renderer they develop.
