Water absorption scattering values.

Post by Sprocket »

I remember back on the old luxrender forums there was a lot of info about scattering values taken from papers, or converted from papers. Unfortunately the internet archive of the forum site does not have those pages saved (unless i just didnt find a good snaphot)

I was wondering if anyone had some absorption and scattering values for water? I did at one stage, but Ive lost the blend files...

Also is there any plans or possibility to include a tabulated data texture in the future?

I found my old files hidden away on a hard drive.

Updated the scene for Luxcore. I did have to invert the absorption values though.

The scene is just a plane with ocean modifier applied to it, camera pointing straight up to the sky. I haven't been able to get any scene to render the same as old lux yet. Clamping might be affecting this scene, also I think there is a difference in the sky model used between the two.

The Preetham sky model was removed, it's only Hosek & Wilkie now.
However, that was also the default in old Lux, not sure if you mean this.
