imitation of a soft foamy material

Post by lighting_freak »

Hi all,

I'm trying to include such a material into some renderings.
Does anyone has any idea how to make such a material that behaves like this one especially while being in touch with light:

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

thanks for your respone.
I think especially the stripy/star-like scattering that you can see on the "laser" pics will not become visible while using a the matte translucent with homogenous volume.

Hi,

Do you think it might be possible to imitate the textile somehow geometrical? I thought of some layers of little tubes, but I don't have any idea how to do that in a model.

You will probably get more answers to modeling questions in a Blender forum or on blender.stackexchange.
I would try modeling one segment and duplicating it with the array modifier.
