Denoiser not working

Im trying the denoiser but there is no difference in the render if its running or not.
I try to stop the rendering job but it stalls and unable to close the window.
I have to shut down the computer or shut down.

Have you switched the renderLayer from Combined to Denoised as stated here?

Did as you asked and its working now.
I changed the pass to "DENOISED".

Ok, here is my result for an 18,000 sample render.
While It was rendering, the denoiser was on in the full render window.
So, I went over to the image window and increased the gain for some lights but the image window was already set at "combined".
The lighting while it was on "DENOISER" did not get the light increase but only the "combined" setting.
The light increase did not work for the "DENOISER".
See the difference on this for "combined" and "DENOISER":

Yes, this is a known problem, only the "combined" imagepipeline is updated when the tonemapper or lightgroups are edited.
It is on my todo list.

By the way, did you use clamping or firefly removal in the denoiser? If not, try to enable them.
Because there are some bright spots in the image that are just blurred in the denoised image.

Ok, the option remove fireflies was not enabled.
So started the render, enabled remove fireflies, then started to increased the scales and it crashed.
I was getting the scene ready to send here but noticed it was to large so I remove the unwanted textures to make the file smaller.
Then removed the textures and saved the blender file but I made the mistake of saving it with the old luxcore from the old forum.
Now, i have to redo the nodes for the lights will take some time to do that.

Light groups parameters have no effect when using the denoiser: it collects data during the rendering with the initial values, changing them would require to rerun the rendering to collect the new data.

The denoiser is not a post processing only feature, it collects a LOT of data during the rendering for the post processing phase.
