Overlight and underexpose?

Post by josephmcs » Wed Feb 03, 2021 10:15 pm

I think I recall reading somewhere that one method people use for denoising is overlighting the scene and then underexposing it in color management. Has anybody ever tried this method and what are your thoughts/do you have any pointers? I have a scene with lots of dark corners. It seems like this might help speed up and increase the quality of my renders. Attached is WIP picture for reference. This test ran for about 5 hours.
