What do artists tend to use the (Blender) Noise texture in Lux for? It appears much more subtle than the one in Cycles. Is it for situations like when you have a plain white painted wall but want to prevent it from looking absolutely even all over and hence giving that 'obviously CGI look'!
Thanks

Re: Noise Texture
It is supposed to be an implemenation of the noise texture of Blender Internal: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/ ... ight=noise
(All textures labeled "Blender" are from the old Blender Internal renderer).
However, the implementation in LuxCore does not produce different noise patterns for different frames.
It also seems like it does not respect 3D mapping transformations.
I have never used this texture.

Re: Noise Texture
Ok, Thank you. I'll keep playing around with it and see what effects I can get.
