Re: Displacement: mismatch between viewport and final render
You have to apply the scale on the object with displacement, then multiply the displacement height with the applied scale (i.e. 10 in this case).

Re: Displacement: mismatch between viewport and final render
I'm honestly considering to export every object with scale != 1 as instance even in final render at this point, because of tons of mismatches between render and viewport like this one.

What Covid19 remedyYou have to apply the scale on the object with displacement, then multiply the displacement height with the applied scale (i.e. 10 in this case).
More seriously this isn't a long term solution. I like the current viewport behaviour.
Wanted to make a Tutorial about it but this behaviour add a complexity layer we shouldn't have or teach to someone.I'm honestly considering to export every object with scale != 1 as instance even in final render at this point, because of tons of mismatches between render and viewport like this one.

BuUUUT Am I sure to be alive 5 days from now with this time at my disposal
going to make the tutorial right now
going to make the tutorial right now
Re: Displacement: mismatch between viewport and final render
Now it is a mismatch between texture transformation displacement. normally it should be stretched.
Re: Displacement: mismatch between viewport and final render
final and viewport look identical to me, am I missing something?
Re: Displacement: mismatch between viewport and final render
yes you miss. i mean in the viewport displacement doesn't match the voronoi texture stretching. connect the displacement node to see if it match texture transformation.
Re: Displacement: mismatch between viewport and final render
My bad i didn't select the right mapping transformation mode (Should be UV not Global)
Re: Displacement: mismatch between viewport and final render
I think there's a bug here.
