Blender export to standalone version: render is darker

Post by Venge »

Hello,

I try to export a scene made in Blender to luxcore standalone version to benefits of resume mode.
But when rendering the scene is darker. I removed lights and just kept HDRI settings. Working fine in Blender but in LuxCore the scene is darker.

So I guess it's related to HDRI settings? Do you have suggestions about it?

Thank you very much

Blender applies its color management steps on top of the LuxCore imagepipeline.
Try to set your color management to the default values (shown in the screenshot) and see if the output is the same.

I tested it and I still get a slightly different output with default color management settings.
Another approach would be to save as EXR from Blender, if I remember correctly, Blender does not apply color management when saving as EXR.
If you also save EXR from luxcoreui, you should get identical results (I hope).
Then you only need a program to convert EXR to your desired output format. Blender can do it, but I don't know if it will again apply some color management on top of it, so you might want to use GIMP or Photoshop or so.
