Hello everyone,

This is a sample of the renders I have presented for my last project.

I'll be putting more pictures soon.

The originals are rendered at a higher resolution, so rendering times have been quite high.

Software: blender, luxcore, moi3d, lightwave, pixplant, gimp...

Very very nice project and render. Really like it. There is also this realistic touch always with luxcore. Beautifull.

If only you could gimp a more realistic grass into it (less green more random) we would say it is a photo.

Solid work.
There are some minor things that could be improved, like the grass Sharlybg mentioned, or the repetitive stone wall tiling in the second image. But overall, good result.

Thanks all for your kind words.

I tried to add variation to the grass but I got a lot of crashes when touching weights, so after some time I desist.
I've seen some people that puts all the grass from a photo, given it has the same perspective, but haven't tried.

The stone wall is what has to be, unfortunatelly, because is a fake stone wall and used de design of the manufacturer.

I will try on the next project to improve the grass, always difficult to me.
Also, at some time of the project, object space undo stopped working and gave instacrash on every undo. Mesh undo worked fine. Very annoying. Overall I'm happy with luxcore performance, although interior renders lasted too much hours. What I'm not so happy is with blender's crashes and poor viewport performance when all the scene is visible.

Best regards.

I have done that in the past on professional projects, it works ok.
E.g. here: https://carbonmade-media.accelerator.ne ... x1408.webp

You just need a material ID AOV pass to mask the grass area.

I am not sure if the Blender addon can cause this.
You could try to switch to Cycles, disable the BlendLuxCore addon and see if the crashes/poor performance still happen.

I hope I'm not derailing this thread, but here is the raw render (3ds max + Vray).

Yeah, this is really interesting. Which are your image grass sources?

Regards.

Mostly photos my former colleagues shot in the local city's parks. :)
