This one isn't bad but we are all waiting for the first one.
There we can see how lux compare to keyshot in botj quality and rendertime. :mrgreen:
Btw keyshot caustics aren't cached ?

:) I'll have to put the original scene back on the testing block here soon. Been slammed with client work, so had to step away from testing stuff, but will definitely do an update as soon as I can.

As for Keyshot and how caustics work there - I am in the dark to be honest. Literally, there's a checkbox, do you want Caustics enabled? If so, check this box. Hah - it's a very 'simple' engine when it comes to UI. Sometimes that can be limiting, but for their target market it works.

I do regularly connect with Dr. Henrik Wann Jensen (father of Keyshot, photon mapping, etc) - I guess I could just ask him. But I'm no computer scientist, so I don't know all the lingo, and might quickly get in over my head. :roll:
