Post by Sharlybg »

Memories of Sahel is a short animaton
Experimentation done with Blender 2.92
and Luxcore 2.5
MEMORIES of SAHEL_02.jpg
The challenge was to perform a water surface animation
With visible SDS caustics animated using the Luxcore
Caustics cache feature pairing with Light tracing

The key was to use a persistent cache file
With a shader trick wich will be reveal in an upcoming tutorial

The animation is made of 500 frames
Rendered on a Single RTX 2060s and i7 8700k (light tracing only)
average Renderspeed = 3.30mn/frame
