Nice stuff
An idea: Near the end of the animation you could release the control over the fluid, so it splashes back into the container.

Thank you.
Actually I reduced the control during the last 25 frames, but obviously not enough.
One to two hours for the liquid simulation (without rendering) is bit too much for my patience. Maybe I find a setup to reduce this time, lower simulation resolution did not help much.

- One Rainbow is not enough!
What were if a planet was made from thick gas rather than earth, stone and iron?
What were if there was not any consciousness to be aware of the beauty of an entire rainbow, a color cycle saturated with the full and glancing spectrum spend by the almost endless nuclear fission fire of nearby sun?
What were if there was now cow, now grass, no trees with purple shining leaves?
I whisper it, there were something missing.

I had some time to finish the animation.

CPU BiDir, Metropolis
Unfortunately the render even with 1500 samples or more not well enough. The images are preprocessed with a Gaussian filter ODIN was not properly enough. However one can see the effect of lamp type on caustics.
From left to right: point light, small area light, larger are light.

That's a nice one!
How's processing / render time for this?

OpenCL (2 * Amd, Hawaii), OIDIN,
45 s per frame 810^2, 250 frames, 3h08m
Post processing: crop to current view, tone map and saturation to violet, create animated gif (Photoshop CC)
