Problem with Diamond internal reflections

Post by StanLong » Sun Apr 22, 2018 5:49 pm

I'm using the new LuxCore v2 and trying to render the reflections and refractions as light passes thru a diamond. I get beautiful R & R with dispersion, but I don't see any light being reflected on the inside of the diamond. I've tried the point, area, and spotlights with the same effect. I try changing the tone mapper, but no change.
The diamond material is glass with IOR of 2.44. I had this working in LuxRender v1.4

I tried to remake the scene and got the same results. However, setting the background to Flat Color and at .02 or lower for R, G , and B helped. Also setting the ground material to nearly black (0.001 for R, G, and B) resulted in this:

Attached is the file I used. I wasnt able to get the refraction to look as good but the diamond is lit up internally without adding any more lights to the scene. Hope this works on your scene.
