Can I use LuxCoreRender with C4D?

Hello

I have used LuxRender a lot (with Carrara, believe it or not).
Now, I have moved to Cinema 4D.

Is there any way to export from C4D to the new LuxCoreRender?

Not directly (there isn't a plugin for C4D). You could go trough Blender (i.e. export from C4D, import inside blender, assign materials, etc. but it is going to be quite cumbersome).

Ok - thank you for answering!
I sincerely hope that someone will create an export plugin for C4D!

Good afternoon. Will there be a plugin for Cinema4d?

It depends on someone stepping forward and developing the plugin. It might be a better idea to ask in a Cinema4D forum if a plugin developer is interested.

There are all sorts of Renderers available for C4D.
I think Octane is also available.
They have materials that are optimzied for the C4D architecture.
Exporting to Luxcore which is rather optimized for Blender sounds to me like a lot of work which can be avoided.
If you can pay the $1500 for C4D, maybe the price for Octane is still somewhere in the moneybag.
I like the way C4D works, but Blender is quickly getting forward since 2.80.
