Its 45 days demo or need a licence.
So there is no possibility to use the old Alpha 6 free version ?
Not with Alpha 6.1, as is only a 3DS max plugin (2011-2015 & DrServer). No standalone.
Standalones are, as mentioned, available within
official installers for Max (45 day free) & C4D (free beta - "... will expire after the commercial version is released.")
And a word of advice:
What you think you might save with having a faster render, you'll loose before you even start rendering, just by setting the scene lighting & materials because:
- textured material preview has been broken for a year or so
- no interactive preview
- not all features are supported by the Standalone version
Also, i have a feeling that Corona's quality is diminishing for the sake of speed & simplicity. Image quality is getting dangerously close to that of VRay. At least from what i had observed in the past year. Or maybe it's just the user base, largely coming from VRay, showing signs of
professional deformation.
Either way, personally, i feel evolving, using the "lazy" IPR workflow above everything else. Lately, i only work in the 'rendered view' as it was prophesied
and i must express my gratitude to Dade, B.Y.O.B., sharlybg and all others investing their knowledge, skill, time... in this magnificent tool.
Of course i also use & regularly test other engines (Cycles, Maxwell, Indigo, Corona, RPR, applesed, PRMan, VRay, Thea, Yafaray, iRay, Fstorm, Arnold, Arion...) but that is simply because of my interest (curiosity & satisfaction) & awareness about flaws in human nature - without changes, tolerance breaks & causes the deformation - makes a human BIASED... and i don't wanna ruin my skill set by becoming cozy in the beauty of an iridescent bubble - biased, dogmatized, believing times or tools don't change. One should always challenge one self to stay well, alive & good in spirit.
But YES, from my holistic experience, for an individual or a small team, LuxCore is simply the best engine of them all...
... and a final note: "I hopefully believe i am experienced."
