Is Luxcore only for Blender?

Post by sahebfahmi »

Hi All,
Sorry for this question but I see there is a stand alone version, I downloaded it and unzipped the file but there is no way to install.
So in reality, is this stand alone is a stand alone software that we can export model to and work independently?
Thanks all for your help

The stand alone is mostly a demo for developers, the sources are available here https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/LuxCor ... /luxcoreui and it can be used to see how the use LuxCore API. If you are an end user, it is useless for you.

Blender is also available for free so you can think to Blender+BlendLuxCore as our standalone application (you can import models from other software, etc.).

In addition, there is a 3dsmax version available too. it's not on the main website, but you can find it on LuxCoreRenderer GitHub https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/MaxToL ... g/v0.8.2.7.
Maya version is under development but it won't be ready very soon.

I think that's a good time to add the 3dsmax Plugin on the main website too. and if you agree i already create an installer for LuxCoreRender Standalone we can add at least the windows version now, it will be a better experience for users and we can add an online update option later.
