My twitter account exploded with messages when it was announced ... I'm following to many ray tracing related people

From MS and NVIDIA, it works only on volta GPUs, they are the champions of open standards, what could possibly go wrong ?

I was looking to some profiling data of OpenCL code yesterday, there is so much room for improvements: just the register pressure is insane, I bet Titan V is so much faster just because of larger register file. Even with the same transistor budget, they could develop so much faster GPUs for computing and ray tracing, it is going to be interesting.
