Hi,
I am new here and not sure if this question is in the correct category but here goes...I work with Chief Architect and render designs with this program a lot. But I am not satisfied with the renderings realistic aspects on exterior views. My question is will LuxCoreRender accept a 3D drawing file from Chief Architect Plan File (.plan) as is and allow me to render it. Hoping I can find a new resource to create realistic views of my projects for my clients.

No, but there are some options:
- check if you can import your file into Blender and render through our plugin in Blender.
- write a script that converts .plan to LuxCore's scene format (this probably requires some work)
- write a plugin for Chief Architect that makes it possible to render with LuxCore. Not sure if this is possible within Chief Architect, also it's a lot of work if you want to support all possible lights, materials, render settings etc.

Hi, is .plan the only file format Chief Architect can export?
Blender can import .dxf, .obj, .dae and many more.

Cheers, mib

It seems that it's able to export the 3dmodel with DXF file format (DWG is not importable into Blender)

https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/ ... r-dxf.html

EDIT: Actually it seems it exports with many 3d file format

Can it export 2D SVG files?
I use STL for most CAD 3D export.
