Here's a quick three day render I've just completed using Blender, Substance Painter, and of course Luxcorerender. Recommendations are welcome.

Re: Hair Dissapears with UV Texture Map Color Export
The scene is over 300 mb; I'll try recreating the carpet and see if that fixes it.

Hair Dissapears with UV Texture Map Color Export
I have been having a problem while trying to add a carpet to a scene where, when I select "UV Texture Map" for the hair color export mode, the hair does not show in the viewport or final render. I remember having this issue in classic luxrender, however the old forums that are linked from ...

Re: ClBuildProgram with Alpha 3
Yes, I do. You were correct however that disabling OpenCL imagepipeline fixes the error.Dade wrote: ↑Fri Aug 24, 2018 9:39 am If you install the v2.1alpha3 available here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=538
Do you get the same error ?

Re: ClBuildProgram with Alpha 3
Do you have also any other GPU aside from the GTX 1080 ? Like a Intel HD4000 on a laptop (i.e. a GPU known to be unable to run some complex OpenCL kernel). I can confirm that it does not work with Nvidia OpenCL, OpenCL on my Xeons, or OpenCL on my Vega FE card (AMD drives). But are you using the v2...

Re: ClBuildProgram with Alpha 3
As workaround, you could disable the OpenCL image pipeline and use the CPU version but I don't know if this option is exposed in Blender It was implemented after the v2.1alpha3 release. But if I understand rrubberr correctly, he compiled from the latest sources, so he should have the option. It was...

ClBuildProgram with Alpha 3
Since upgrading to 2.1 Alpha3 I have not been able to successfully run a render. I have been getting the error ClBuildProgram when rendering on CPU, GPU, or both. I also get this error if I compile directly after freshly cloning the repositories.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Re: Issue With Too Many Alpha Textured Meshes
Can you show your material node setup? Are you using the opacity socket or still the old "mix with null"? The opacity socket is a lot faster. If I remember correctly, it should also not be dependent on the path depth, however in a quick test I can reproduce a darkening effect that appears...
